Do You Want to Build a Dalek?
Warning: This post contains Doctor Who spoilers after Series 7, Episode 4. Read at your own risk.
I actually saw Frozen around five months ago, but I haven’t got around to posting till now. River, after almost killing the Doctor (Series 6, Episode 8 “Let’s Kill Hitler”), has locked herself in her room, trying to protect herself from the Doctor and all others humans and Gallifreyans. I don’t own any of the characters or the song “Do You Want to Build a Snowman”. The only thing my fabulous brain did was mash them up together.
9th Doctor:
Do you want to build a dalek?
Come on, let’s go exterminate.
I never see you anymore,
Come out the door,
It’s like you’ve gone to Gallifrey!
We used to be best buddies,
And now we’re not,
I wish you would tell me why!
Do you want to build a dalek?
It doesn’t have to be a dalek.
River:
Go away, Doctor.
Doctor:
Okay, bye.
Time passes and the Doctor is in his 10th regeneration.
10th Doctor:
Do you want to build a dalek?
Or eat fish custard in bed?
I think some company is overdue,
I’ve started talking to
The doctors in my head
(Hang in there, Rose)
It gets a little lonely
All these empty rooms,
Watching the hours tick by
(Tick-tock, tick-tock, the clock ticks backwards)
River’s room is destroyed. Regeneration energy swirls around.
River:
I’m scared! It’s getting stronger!
Rory:
Getting upset only makes it worse. Calm down.
Rory, with Amy by his side, leans in to console River.
River:
No! Don’t touch me! Please. I don’t want to hurt you.
Rory and Amy prepare to go on a journey to New York City for some reason.
Doctor:
See you in two weeks.
River:
(voice breaking) Do you have to go?
Rory:
You’ll be fine, River.
Rory and Amy board the TARDIS and we see the it caught in a time vortex. In a graveyard, a Weeping Angel zaps Rory back in time. Amy, teary-faced, says her final goodbye to the Doctor (“Wait, isn’t the Doctor in Arendelle?” Um, time travel) and dies. A curtain is drawn over a painting of Amy and Rory. The Doctor stands alone, clothed in black, at the very graveyard where they died.
11th Doctor:
River? Please, I know you’re in there.
People are asking where you’ve been
They say have courage,
and I’m trying to,
I’m right out here for you
Just let me in
We only have each other
It’s just you and me
What’re we going to do?
(voice cracking ) Do you want to build a snowman?
